Social Media for Social Good
This Mile High Social Media Club will focus on how non-profits can use social media to engage the community to do good. Dave Angulo of iVolunteer (http://www.actionfeed.org/) will start with a quick presentation on iVolunteer, which is a project from the Boulder community making it easy for people to find one-time volunteer opportunities and get involved in their communities via social media. Then Jim Rettew of the Mile High Red Cross will present on how Red Cross is using social media and look to the audience for feedback on how they can better use social media. This will be an interactive session engaging the audience to help the nonprofit community better understand how social media can ignite a community.
